What happens if I want to cancel my contract early?

If you need to cancel your Data Only contract before the end of your agreed term, any remaining obligations will be calculated and added to your final invoice.

Before cancelling, it’s worth speaking to your dedicated account manager – in some cases, we may be able to restructure your plan details, adjust your tariff, or find a more cost-effective solution that better suits your current needs. If your circumstances have changed, there may be options available that avoid the need to cancel altogether.

If you do need to follow through with your cancellation, our team will walk you through the process clearly and ensure there are no last-minute surprises on your final bill.

What is a Data Only SIM card business plan for?

Data Only business SIM plans provide internet connectivity to a device without including a voice or SMS plan. This makes them ideal for any business device that needs to get online independently of a Wi-Fi connection – without the cost of a full mobile plan.

Common business uses include:

Tablets and Laptops – Keeping field-based or remote employees connected when Wi-Fi isn’t available, whether they’re on-site, travelling or working from a client’s premises.

Mobile Routers & MiFi Devices – Providing a shared internet connection for small teams working from temporary or remote locations.

What happens if I reach my spend cap?

Spend caps are there to protect your business from unexpected charges. Once you reach 100% of your agreed cap, out-of-bundle services (such as data usage beyond your allowance) will be barred until the start of your next billing month, ensuring you don’t overspend.

You’ll receive alerts as you approach your cap, giving you plenty of advance warning before any restrictions kick in. If you find your cap is being reached regularly, it may be a sign that your current tariff no longer reflects your actual usage – something your account manager may review and adjust. Equally, if your data needs vary month to month, an unlimited data plan may be a more cost-effective option than repeatedly hitting a capped allowance.

How can I fix bad reception or signal?

Poor signal can usually be diagnosed and resolved quickly. Each of our network partners – Vodafone, O2, EE – has its own coverage checker and a live network status tool, which is updated regularly and will confirm whether there’s a known issue in your area.

If the network checker shows no internet access outage but you’re still experiencing poor signal, there are a few practical steps worth trying first; checking whether the issue is device-specific, repositioning hardware closer to a window, or testing with a different SIM from an alternative network.

If none of these resolves the issue, our technical support team will step in to investigate further. In some cases, switching to a different provider may be a better option for improved coverage. One of the advantages of working with Elite is that we have access to multiple providers, so we’ll always have an alternative for you to try until you find the perfect fit.

How do I view my bills?

Billing is handled differently depending on how your account is set up with Elite. Network direct customers can view their invoices online through the dedicated portals provided by Vodafone, EE or O2 – giving you real-time visibility of your usage and charges. Elite direct customers receive a monthly email with invoices attached.

If you manage multiple devices or SIMs across your business, Elite can consolidate your billing into a single monthly invoice – making it significantly easier to track spend across your entire mobile estate without logging into multiple portals. What is the difference between multi-network intelligent data and regular mobile data?

Regular mobile data ties your device to a single network. If that network has poor coverage in a particular location, your connection suffers and there’s no automatic fallback.

Multi-network intelligent data removes that dependency. Rather than being locked to one network, your device automatically connects to whichever of our partner networks has the strongest signal at your current location. This happens seamlessly in the background without any manual intervention needed.
